21 Days Ugandan Grand Tour
Starting from the source of the Nile in Jinja, you get to see the origin of the longest river in the world, do a boat cruise and swimming. Heading northwards, you will be wowed by the spectacular highlight of the eastern region; Sipi Falls and you also get to do hiking on the hills of Kapchorwa.
Drive northwards to Kidepo Valley National Park which is the true African wilderness. It’s a flat savanna national park where you get to see miles of uninterrupted view. Get to see prides of Lions, herds of grazing buffaloes, and Defassa waterbucks among other mammals. This is also the best national park to spot the rare Cheetah and the common ostriches.
Heading to the North Eastern part of the country, behold the famous Murchison falls National Park (home of the most powerful waterfall on earth). Here, you get to enjoy a launch cruise on the Nile to the bottom of the falls, hiking to the top of the falls, game drives where you get to see animals like Elephants, Giraffes, Lions, Leopards and different types of antelopes. Then descend southwards to Kibale forest National Park (Primate Capital of the world). Here, you get to spend time with man’s closest relatives; the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, and different primates such as black & white Colobus monkey and Vervet monkeys among others. Spot the rare forest Elephants and different tree species on guided nature walks. Community walks in the surrounding communities where you interact with locals, tour their ecotourism projects and get to shop souvenirs from their small startups. Do birding of endemic bird species and view antelopes during community walks.
Proceeding to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you spot the rare tree climbing Lions at the Ishasha sector, launch cruise on the Kazinga channel where you get to view the highest concentration of hippos along the banks. Primate viewing at Kyambura gorge, Maramagambo forests and game drives within the park.
Travel further south to track mountain Gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park and later on relax on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi the second deepest lake in Africa with over 29 Islands of different sizes and shapes with different folklores about their history. Later, you head to Lake Mburo National Park for horse riding, launch cruise on Lake Mburo and witness the human-wildlife interactions as you watch the Ankole long horned cattle graze besides the Zebras.
On the last day, you get to drive through the Equator line back to Kampala or Entebbe.
