Uganda is rich in wildlife, game, birds, and a vast culture of over 50 tribes occupying this beautiful, green country. In Uganda alone a birder will enjoy twelve percent of bird species in the world; a tracker will find half of the world’s gorillas; an explorer will have an opportunity to see more than 7% of the world’s mammals. Uganda has a total area of 236,040 sq km, bordered by Kenya in the East and Tanzania in the South, Rwanda in the South west, DR Congo to the west and South Sudan to the North, making it a landlocked country. It lies at 10S to 40N Latitude and 300 to 350 East Longitude, so it is astride the Equator.1 00 N, 32 00 E. The country, however, is well watered and fertile. Although it lies at the Equator, it receives about three rainy seasons a year, with Lake Victoria, The Nile, the many forests and the Rwenzori mountains determining much of the climate. In forest ecosystems it rains regularly and weather is unpredictable. Water covers 36,330 sq km, about 15% of Uganda’s area. Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB) in Uganda.
Self-organized journey to Uganda to Entebbe Airport (EBB)
After the immigration formalities you meet your driver.
Transfer to your hotel in Kampala for 1 Night on Bed and Breakfast basis.
Day 2: Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park
Your guide will pick you up for your hotel and drive to Kibale Forest National Park
You will take a nature walk in the Bigodi Swamp.
Night 2: (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking – Kibale Forest National Park
Run by a ranger, you experience chimpanzees eating, playing, and romping.
Crater lakes trek and top of the world tour.
Night 3: (breakfast, lunch en-route, dinner)
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Upon arrival, Lunch and later community visits like Katwe and Kasoga.
Have the rest of the day at leisure
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Game drive in the morning
The Kazinga Channel afternoon boat tour provides an excellent platform for photos.
Enjoy a sundowner and admire the views before dinner.
Night 5: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This morning you drive over the section Ishasha to Bwindi National Park.
In the Ishasha Sector you have the chance to see the tree climbing lions.
Night 6: (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking, Batwa Community Visit
Today is the long-awaited day!
After an early breakfast, your guide will take you to the ranger’s meeting point.
Expect to go a longer distance in steep and difficult conditions.
The ranger will take you to where the gorillas slept the night before.
Depending on where the gorilla camp was, the hike takes a little longer.
But it is definitely worth watching the gorillas eating and playing.
If you meet the gorillas, you can spend an hour with them.
The last wild mountain gorillas. A unique and unforgettable experience! Later visit the Batwa community
Night 7: (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Day 8: Golden Monkey tracking, – Village Community Visits
Golden Monkey tracking in Mgahinga Forest National Park. Later have a walk through the village community. Meet a local healer, locals will show you how to brew alcohol. Spend the rest of the day at Leisure
Night 8: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park, En-route lunch in Mbarara and visit Igongo Cultural Centre.
The afternoon boat ride on the lake is followed by an evening game drive
Night 9: (breakfast, lunch en-route, dinner)
Day 10: Morning game drive in Lake Mburo, Afternoon Boat Ride
After breakfast, morning game drive in Lake Mburo with possibilities of sighting various wildlife species like Elands, Topis, Impalas among others.
Lunch and go for the afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo
Night 8: (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Day 11: Lake Mburo – Entebbe
After breakfast drive to Entebbe, the former capital and colonial administration center for Uganda.
In the middle of the world, on the equator line, take a photo stop.
Night 11: (breakfast)
Day 12: Entebbe – departure
Your last meal, which is included in the tour price, is your breakfast today.
With memorable memories you say goodbye today
Depending on your flight, you can still see Entebbe’s sights.
In time, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your flight.
