11 Days Uganda & Gorilla Observation & Kibale Forest Park & Lake Mburo
Starting the safari with the primate capital of the world which is the best destination to track man’s closest relative “the Chimpanzee” in Uganda. It’s also in Kibale forest National Park that you will get to see different other primates like the black and white colobus monkey, Vervet monkey and baboons among others. You will get to go for nature walks and community walks in the Bigodi wetland that is run by the Bigodi community neighboring the park. During this guided walk, you will have the chance of seeing other primates, birds’ species and other small antelopes.
From Kibale Forest National Park, you will descend to Queen Elizabeth National Park that hosts up to 10 primate species including the Chimpanzee, Vervet, Blue, Red-tailed and L’hoest monkeys, Black-and-white colobus and Olive baboon. Tracking of these primates usually takes place in the extensive Maramagambo forest in the south east of the park and the forested Kyambura Gorge along the border with the Kyambura Game reserve.
Further south, you will proceed to the gist of the whole primate safari experience that is the mountain Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park; “The ultimate Gorilla Experience “. This parks beauty will spice up the primate experience beyond your expectation. The main attraction and the largest of all primates are the Mountain Gorilla. An encounter with these gentle giants is a dream come true and it’s a lifetime experience. There are 11 habituated gorilla families in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and you will get the chance to track one of these families consisting of a dominant silverback, dominant female, juvenile and baby gorillas. This park also harbours varieties of other primates like the L’hoest and red-tailed monkey monkeys, black and white colobus monkey and the olive baboons among others.
Later, you head to Lake Mburo National Park for horse riding, launch cruise on Lake Mburo, walking safaris and witness the human-wildlife interactions as you watch the Ankole long horned cattle graze besides the Zebras.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking – Kibale Forest National Park
Run by a ranger, you experience chimpanzees eating, playing, and romping.

This morning you drive over the section Ishasha to Bwindi National Park.
In the Ishasha Sector you have the chance to see the tree climbing lions.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking, Batwa Community Visit
Today is the long-awaited day!
After an early breakfast, your guide will take you to the ranger’s meeting point.
Expect to go a longer distance in steep and difficult conditions.
The ranger will take you to where the gorillas slept the night before.
Depending on where the gorilla camp was, the hike takes a little longer.
But it is definitely worth watching the gorillas eating and playing.
If you meet the gorillas, you can spend an hour with them. The last wild mountain gorillas. A unique and unforgettable experience! Later visit the Batwa community
